Cancellation of individual bookings:
Bookings:
Bookings made by email, fax or post are legally binding. Bookings may not be made by minors unless they have a written declaration of consent from their legal guardians. Legal guardians are liable for bookings made by their wards whilst underage.
Booking confirmation:
Booking confirmation is sent by email, fax or post. This confirmation does not require a signatory for its validity and is legally binding.
Cancellation of journey:
Bookings may be cancelled free of charge up to 72 hours before arrival. In the event of cancellation on short notice, JGH Berlin-Mitte reserves the right to charge the holder of the booking 70% of total costs. If the holder of the booking fails to show, JGH Berlin-Mitte reserves the right to charge that same individual 100% of the total costs. If you need to check out early, you are required to pay all costs up to the check-out day stated in the booking. Failure to arrive, e.g. due to illness or other hindrance, will result in charges for the total cost of travel being levied. It is therefore advisable to take out adequate travel cancellation insurance.
Cancellation of group bookings (from 10 individuals):
Liability for costs:
A down payment of 50% of the entire travel costs must be paid into our account within 14 days of finalisation of the sales contract. The remainder of costs must be paid on the check-out day, unless other arrangements are agreed.
Cancellation of journey:
Bookings may be cancelled free of charge up to three months before arrival. Cancellation three months to one month before arrival is subject to a charge totalling 20% of total costs, after this, cancellations will incur charges totalling 70% of total costs. Failure to arrival will result in a charge totalling 100% of total costs. It is therefore advisable to take out adequate travel cancellation insurance as the cancellation fees for individuals not travelling with the group also apply, e.g. due to illness or other hindrance.
Validity of the contract:
The booking contract becomes valid once a legally, signed copy has been received by us. If the preceding conditions are not fulfilled, places may be reallocated. The attached set of house rules also constitutes part of the contract. All travellers must be made aware of the house rules before travel.
